Overview
Southwoods Nursing Home is a residential and nursing home in the area of Northallerton, which can accommodate just under 40 residents. Care can be provided for those with residential care or residential dementia requirements and to those with a general nursing or nursing dementia need. Southwoods Nursing Home also offers short stay services; respite care and holiday care breaks
Located within a comfortable three-five minute walking distance from Northallerton Town Centre and Northallerton Station, Southwoods has dedicated caring staff to attend to all the needs of the residents with all the amenities one may need on their doorstep.
Celebrating its 15th year with the company, Southwoods has gone through extensive refurbishment and now has introduced the Care Control digital care planning and management system. While the home continues to have an excellent reputation in the local community still more planning and development are in the pipeline with local planning permissions approved to add new rooms, new social space, a new expanded hairdressing salon and a large interactive dementia friendly garden. (Work begins in 2025)
Residents have a choice of upstairs and downstairs lounges, separate dining areas, dedicated activities co-coordinator and home cooks providing fresh, nutritional and exciting food.
