The Avenue Specialist Nursing Care Home is a welcoming environment in Northampton that offers homely and comfortable care for older people experiencing all forms of Dementia and elderly residents with clinical needs.
At The Avenue our services include:

Bedrooms are all fully furnished and have en suite facilities. Residents are encouraged to bring in their own furniture and pictures to reflect their interests and family roles to make their own space as homely as possible. The private ensuite accommodation comes with telephone points and WiFi throughout the home. An assisted bath is available for those who wish to have regular baths rather than showers. People are supported to live independently with assisted bathrooms, a laundry service and 24-hour Aid Call should a problem arise. Care plans are developed following thorough assessments and by gaining a detailed understanding of the residents’ needs and wishes. The Avenue has been designed to offer flexible care that addresses the needs of each resident and promotes their independence and wellbeing. Communal areas include spacious lounges and a private secure courtyard for socialising and relaxation. There is also a Summer House where most of the activities are held.

Holistic services such as aromatherapy, massages, hair dressing and manicures are available as well as a visiting chiropodist and optician. We always aim to promote general wellbeing and promote positive self-esteem for our residents. Regular social events are held, and weekly chair exercise classes are carried out and enjoyed by all. We celebrate all the special events throughout the year such as Easter, Summer picnics, Halloween and obviously Christmas! Most residents enjoy the painting, baking and arts and crafts activities facilitated by our 2 wonderful occupational therapy assistants. Relatives are always welcome to join in the fun and share the experiences.
