Overview

Heathcote is a residential care home on Unthank Road, just a stone's throw away from Norwich city centre in Norfolk. We provide short-term, respite care and longer term care and support at the home.

One of four Black Swan homes in Norwich, the home provides care and support for up to 29 residents in a beautiful building. The comfortable bedrooms are dotted around the home, which has large, separate communal lounges, dining rooms, a hair salon and adapted bathrooms. Outside there are private gardens and a shaded patio area where we enjoy barbecues and outdoor events for our residents, their families and friends and the local community.

At the home we provide person-centred care for our residents, good food and a wonderful atmosphere which really makes it feel like home. We take pride in providing a wide range of enriching activities to suit residents’ likes and interests, with varied activities taking place every day.

Heathcote has been rated ‘Good Overall’ by the Care Quality Commission in its latest inspection, receiving an ‘Outstanding’ rating in the caring segment of the report, including this lovely quote: “We saw many examples of outstanding and positive caring interactions between the staff and people living in the service.”
