Rowan Lodge is an award-winning care home combining 24-hour residential and nursing care with exemplary hospitality for up to 60 residents - it has a 'Good' rating from the CQC. Surrounded by peaceful countryside, residents enjoy meadow views from their luxury bedrooms equipped with ensuite facilities.
Spacious communal areas, smaller break-out spaces, a dedicated activities room, onsite café, cinema, hair salon and family room are all designed and decorated with residents in mind. Contrasting tones and colourful digital wallpapers are incorporated into the interior décor for visual stimulus.
A quaint summer house, tranquil courtyard, and terraces with alfresco dining areas provide perfect outdoor spaces for residents and their loved ones to enjoy. Raised herb gardens with vibrant flowers offer sensory experiences for residents to independently explore. Rowan Lodge even cultivates honey from its own beehives.
As a member of NAPA, (a leading activity and engagement charity), Rowan Lodge’s activities team continuously prioritise wellbeing, delivering meaningful activities adapted to the assessed needs, daily wishes, and cultural interests of residents. From birthday and anniversary tea parties, Tai Chi, and intergenerational activities with local schools, to visiting entertainers, live music, farm animals and Pets as Therapy, along with a variety of themed events and cultural days. Activities are tailored towards the individual, supported by life story work, this includes one-to-one activities and activities tailored for residents who are less mobile and able.
The home has an accolade of awards, with their Activity Lead (now Group Activity Lead) winning the ‘Service Recognition Award’ at the NAPA Member Awards 2022.
Rowan Lodge has partnered with Famileo to create personalised newsletters for residents, so residents and their loved ones can share messages, happy memories, photos, and updates from their day-to-day life.
