Accommodation.

At New Fairholme all of our 88 rooms are large and comfortable with en-suite facilities on each of the four units.

The comfortable surroundings enable our residents to live as comfortable a life as possible and our activities enable participants to feel part of life within the home and its wider community.

Everyone living and working at Fairholme can genuinely feel they are among friends. Residents can decide where and how they spend their time either quietly in their room, taking part in the variety of activities, or walking through the central garden area at the heart of the home.

Our friendly communal areas ensure everyone is supported individually with scope for new friendships with other residents to ensure we meet all our residents’ choice and preferences

Activities
From the moment our residents join us, New Fairholme is their home and we are here to support them. We talk to our residents and their families to find out what is important to them as individuals and help them to carry on participating in activities that have individual meaning.

Our specially trained and enthusiastic activities staff are excellent at helping our residents enjoy their life with us at Fairholme where our staff work with residents to create a week by week schedule of activities to include a mix of physical, social, creative, recreational, sensory, relaxation and reminiscence.

In addition to the rich and varied activity programme at New Fairholme, staff also arrange outings to local areas of interest, organise events throughout the year and provide wonderful entertainment.

Food & Drink
We encourage residents to get involved in day-to-day life in the home from housekeeping and baking to growing vegetables and keeping busy in the garden

At New Fairholme we take our culinary skills very seriously indeed. As well as serving lunch, we make sure our residents have easy access to snacks and drinks throughout the day and night. Proper nutrition and hydration are essential to health and wellbeing.

We cater to all dietary requirements including supplements and following assessment guidance by the Speech and Language Team (SaLT). New Fairholme meals are freshly prepared on site by a qualified chef using locally sourced produce and we cater for all requirements including vegan, vegetarian, dairy or gluten-free diets.
