Overview
Chatsworth Residential Home is a home in the Mannamead area of Plymouth, we are quite central so have easy access to Plymouth City Centre, The sea front, local shops, supermarkets and Parks, we are also in very close proximity to Emmanuel Church. We have Bus stops right outside of Chatsworth which go in either direction so easily accessible for family and friends to visit if you do not drive.
We can accommodate 26 residents - We have held a 'Good' rating from the CQC for over 20 years.
Care can be provided for those with dementia and mental health needs. Chatsworth Residential Home also offers the following short stay services; respite care, intermediate care and reablement support.
We have 24 bedrooms, 2 of which are shared which we find are really popular as some people with Dementia feel more at ease when they share a room.
We are very diverse in our approach and like to think that we can adapt to residents ever changing care needs.
Due to only being a small home we manage to keep a homely atmosphere and like all of our residents and visitors to see familiarity with staff when they visit and therefore we do not use agency staff.
We encourage residents to personalise their rooms, we can re decorate rooms and do so frequently, we like residents to to feel like they are home when they walk into their rooms.
All rooms have a call bell and many rooms have sensor alarms to help protect the safety of residents, our aim is not to stop Residents from getting around it is to enable staff to assist sooner so that they can assist resident to where they are wanting to go to safely, sensor alarms are used when a person is at risk of falls.
We have a lovely conservatory with access to our garden which families, friends and residents are welcome to use anytime.
We do a range of activities and strive to put fun into all activities, we try to adapt activities to whatever is most popular with the residents that we have in at any one time, we find that our residents love to laugh and have a great sense of humour.
We have had many pets over the years but this is assessed individually to see if it is suitable at that time. We have had birds, cats and dogs previously.
We have maintained an excellent reputation for over 35 years that we have owned Chatsworth.
