Chalgrove Care and Nursing Home in Poole provides high-quality, affordable residential, nursing, dementia and respite care in a safe and homely environment. Situated minutes from the beach, our home is the perfect haven for beach lovers who enjoy walks along the coastline finished with local fish and chips.
There are several lounges and dining areas throughout the home, plus a large, sunny conservatory overlooking the garden. We have a lovely garden and enclosed paved courtyards, with plenty of room to sit out on sunny days with a cup of tea.
As well as providing high-quality care and support for you, we care about your families too. Our door is always open for a chat, and our residents and family forum gives you a way to support each other. Plus, your family members are welcome in at any time, for a cuppa, or to join us for a meal.
Social activities
We place great emphasis on social activities and maintaining the type of life you have We love to welcome people into Chalgrove, including musicians and children from the local nursery school. Our keep-fit sessions are also really popular. Our activities coordinators take on board all suggestions and feedback. We even have a residents’ committee that meets monthly to discuss new activities and trips out.ve had at home, whether that is quiet and relaxed or an active lifestyle. We’re passionate about arts and crafts, spending afternoons drawing, painting, and exploring various creative mediums. Dining
At Chalgrove Care and Nursing Home, you will be served freshly prepared home-cooked by our team of expert chefs. They ensure all our meals are healthy, nutritionally balanced and, most importantly, locally sourced wherever possible. Meals are served in one of our superb dining rooms, but you also have the option for food to be served in your room for a more private dining experience.
Nutrition is an important part of the care we provide. That’s why our catering team take time to get to know your likes and dislikes before putting together a vibrant and varied menu for you to choose from.
Bedrooms
The bedrooms at Chalgrove Care and Nursing Home are in two wings: Edwardian, where we provide nursing care, and Tudor, our residential building.
Across the two wings, there are 57 bedrooms for people living at Chalgrove, three of which can accommodate couples. All our bedrooms have an ensuite or washbasin in the room. All our rooms have accessible bathrooms nearby.
Many of the bedrooms look out onto the garden, and lots of our ground-floor bedrooms have direct garden access.
Gardens
We have a lovely large secure lawned garden and enclosed paved courtyards, with plenty of room to sit out on sunny days. These outdoor spaces are equipped with planters and flower beds to indulge in your love for gardening and relish home-grown vegetables.
