Overview
Kingland House is a peaceful and picturesque residential home situated on Kingland Road in Poole, we can accommodate 44 residents and we have a 'Good' rating from CQC. We provide dementia and residential care and can offer the following short stay services; respite care, rehabilitation and reablement support.
We are located 10 metres from the stunning Poole Park. The park features an impressive lake complete with swans, geese and other wildlife as well as a miniature railway and boating facilities in the summer months.
The house itself was converted from four houses which adds to its homely feel. A five minute stroll will take you to Poole town centre and the Dolphin shopping centre. The famous Sandbanks beach and charming Quay and Old Town are just a few minutes drive away.
Our home has two recently refurbished lounges, one quiet and one for activities to allow residents to choose their preference dependent on their mood. The grounds of the house have beautiful landscaped gardens which residents can admire from the airy dining room conservatory or enjoy in the warmer months. Residents are encouraged to bring as much as they like from home to help them settle in and be in familiar surroundings.
At Kingland we pride ourselves on the high standard of fresh food produced on a daily basis. Nutrition is a very important aspect of keeping healthy and we ensure that residents are receiving all their vital vitamins and nutrients, no matter what their dietary requirements are.
Our activities co-ordinators are dynamic and immensely practiced in inspiring and encouraging the elderly to take part and socialise. Some of the most popular activities are Quiz Time and Exercises to Music. The residents love going on outings such as boat trips, regular walks into Poole Park and to Moors Valley. We also have regular entertainers, school visits and performers at Kingland House.
