Overview
The Willows Dementia Hub offers a specialist Dementia residential home with 22 permanent places. All our rooms are ensuite with showers and toilets and we have a large, assisted bathroom with a rise and fall bath. The residency also caters for adults with physical disabilities with a primary diagnosis of dementia.
Outside we have two beautiful spacious gardens for all our residents to use where they can relax and take part in garden therapy.
We run a community social café within the Dementia Hub that is available for everyone including residents and members of the public. The café has become so popular that we have expanded this service with two additional not-for-profit community social cafes across the region.
We also offer a Day Care ‘comfort’ service for up to 23 service users to use here at the Willows Dementia Hub or our local sister site at Moss Bridge which has a capacity of up to 20 service users. This service offers activities and therapies to promote mental stimulation and, where possible physical activities, to enable our patients to have a rich and varied quality of life. All service users are offered refreshments throughout the day as well as a home cooked two course meal from our café. Day Care ‘comfort’ is a welcomed respite for our service users’ carers, families, and friends.
The Willows at Home service is a domiciliary care package where our staff visit service users in their own home and offer the same high-quality standards of care and caring attitude as our residents receive in the Willows Dementia Hub. Not only do our service users receive the care they need but are also offered activities such as baking, going out on trips or creative activities in their own home, giving them the opportunity to remain independent for as long as they are able to do so.
