Broomhills is a residential home in the area of Rochford, which can accommodate just over 40 residents - it has a 'Good' rating from the CQC. Care can be provided for those with dementia. Broomhills also offers the following short stay services; respite care and rehabilitation.

Broomhills offers the option for potential new residents to visit and spend a morning or an afternoon with us and have a meal, so they are able to experience the care home, and meet staff and other residents before they move in.

Broomhills care home is situated in a idyllic, tranquil location, with surrounding gardens and fields, and a river with boat yard to the back aspect of the care home, Broomhills boasts beautiful country views, and river views, from all windows, there is lots of wild life and it perfectly situated for bird watchers, and animal lovers.

Broomhills is situated at a distance from the main road so there is no busy roads or sounds of traffic.

There is plenty of out door space, so always a nice quiet area in the sun or shade for residents to relax and for families to use when they visit. There is also a cafe that is available for residents and relatives use. This can also be booked free of charged if families would like to hold a family party.

Broomhills team are kind friendly and approachable if you have any concerns or requests, a staff member is always available to help resolve any issues, and to assist with any requests.

Our experienced care team consists of the Home Manager whom has worked at Runwood homes for 23 years, and has been the manager of Broomhills for 12 years. There are also a number of the staff team that have also worked at Broomhills for 20 + years.

Broomhills are able to manage special dietary requirements and the Home manager has made specific tailored menu's for residents with special requirements offering a choice at each meal time and alternative snacks so all Nutritional needs are met.

Broomhills have good working relationships with the multidisciplinary teams the local doctors surgery hold weekly open surgeries and the district nurses are available daily, there is also a palliative care team that are available when required.

There is use of a company mini bus including driver, so regular outings take place 12 months of the year.

There is a good activity planner, we also have regular 1-2 times a month entertainment come to the home, and we have visiting Healers, Armchair ballet and Armchair exercise classes.

We have the local Priest visits twice a month one session is for holy communion and the second is for a church service.

We have a pat a dog that visits the care home 1-2 times per month also.

Broomhills have a pet cat "Monday" he has been the resident cat for 12 years now.

We have good links with the local secondary school who come along to the home and carryout projects with the residents.

There is a inhouse hairdresser that visits every week, and Broomhills has our own hair salon.

We also have a community Dentist that visits the care home and also a Chiropodist that visits every 6-8 weeks.

There are snack stations in the care home where snacks of drinks, chocolate bars and crisps are available for residents to help themselves.

There is also a daily snack trolley there goes around all residents in the home, with a different theme each day.
