Ashgate House has been fully refurbished to provide a high-quality residential environment; all fixtures, fittings and furniture are maintained and the physical environment has been adapted to accommodate residents who have learning disabilities and who may also have associated physical disabilities. The house is wheelchair friendly, has a minibus with tail lift and equipment like hoist, hydraulic tub, etc.

Ashgate House has ten bedrooms for single use; four bedrooms are on the ground floor and six bedrooms in the first floor, with a lift access to all floors. To the rear of the property is a spacious well-kept garden and patio with wheelchair access from the house conservatory. Sensory room is situated at the second floor that is accessible via lift or stairs. Space has been provided for staff training and office facilities within the house.

Our philosophy is to provide a homely environment that enables residents to participate in normal life pattern to the best of their ability and a pace that takes into account their individual needs. The service will be needs-led. The home is managed in a manner that incorporates the necessary flexibility to meet the needs of its residents. Wherever possible, each resident will be given the opportunity to contribute and influence all decisions concerning any aspect of their lifestyle plan and home e.g. décor, management, activities, meals, etc. guided by their Key Worker.
