Overview

ABOUT US.

The aim at St Vincent's Retirement Home is to provide a safe, caring environment in comfortable surroundings for elderly men and women. The facilities and services are based on the needs, abilities, and aspirations of our residents, to enable all to live as full a life as their capabilities permit.

Residents at St Vincent's are encouraged to enjoy their later years and will find that coming into care does not mean an end to normal life but rather a new opportunity to receive the care needed whilst enjoying life to the full without worries for them and their families.

OUR HOME.

St Vincents is a fine Victorian house that stands in spacious grounds. Many features of the house’s history have been maintained, whilst necessary alterations have been made to enable it to operate as a care home.

The care home can accommodate 25 residents in their own single bedroom, with an en-suite bathroom. All rooms are furnished to a high standard and have modern safety features fitted which include a 24-hour carer call system and smoke detectors. All have a TV point and residents may have telephones at their own expense.

Residents are encouraged to personalise their own rooms with their possessions to achieve a homely feel environment.

There are 6 bedrooms on the lower ground floor, 5 on the ground floor, and 14 on the first floor.

Residents can choose to relax or entertain guests in the comfortable resident’s lounges or in the reception area which has an open fireplace. There is a large, well-decorated dining room with a tea bar and the main lounge has a bar facility.

Other facilities include a residents’ information area, a care staff office, and management offices.

There is a large passenger lift to all levels which enables easy access to all rooms.

There are spacious landscaped gardens that can be easily accessed and include various seating areas.
