Overview
Malvern House is an attractive Victorian building that was converted into a care home more than thirty years ago. A discreet, modern extension has been added at the rear of the property to provide additional accommodation. All parts of the property used by the Residents are easily accessible and all floors are served by an automatic passenger lift or stair lift.
Malvern House is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), to provide nursing and residential care for up to 22 Residents- it has a 'Good' rating from the CQC. Respite, short-term and day care clients are also welcome. We are able to offer care for Residents living with dementia where, after assessment, the Home is considered appropriate.
Malvern House is situated in a tranquil area of Saltash and all amenities including shops, churches, bus stops, railway station, Post Office and banks are within a short walk from the home. The Home is served by two GP practices, a community hospital and the main Derriford Hospital in nearby Plymouth.
Malvern House has a warm and friendly atmosphere set in comfortable surroundings. There is a pleasant communal lounge and dining room and each individual room has a profiling electric bed, nurse call and TV point. We encourage Residents to personalise their rooms with personal mementos, soft furnishings and even furniture if space allows. Wi-fi is available throughout the Home.
There is a lovely park opposite with glorious views over the Tamar Valley and also another adjacent to the Home with views down to Saltash High Street and the Tamar Bridge. Some of our rooms have distant views to Plymouth Sound. In addition, the Home offers an attractive, mature south facing garden which is accessible to all Residents and their visitors.
