Overview
Rivelin House provides care and support for eight individuals with diverse needs, including learning disabilities, brain injuries, physical disabilities, and associated complex conditions. Care is delivered through comprehensive training, personalised care plans, and a person-centred approach, with additional support from social and healthcare professionals.
The people we support are encouraged to engage in various activities and have the option to go on annual holidays, either alone or with others. The home is thoughtfully designed to be welcoming and homely, with en-suite bedrooms that can be personalised to reflect individual preferences. Six of the eight bedrooms include overhead tracking to assist with mobility. Shared spaces include a dining area, lounge/music room, and a large kitchen.
Additionally, there is a self-contained flat with a private garden, its own kitchen, living/dining area, bedroom, and en-suite bathroom, as well as access to the communal garden with wheelchair-friendly decking.
The team is led by a nurse manager with over eight years of experience in learning disability care and includes nurses trained in learning disability, mental health, and general nursing.
