Overview
The Lodge is a purpose-built two-storey Residential Care Home situated in South Shields and is within easy access of Stanhope Road & Boldon Lane Shops and other amenities including local bus and metro transport links.
The Lodge offers Residential and Dementia Residential care. It also offers care for those who require long and short-term respite care. The team are committed to providing the highest possible standard of care. Residents are treated as individuals and cared for with respect and dignity within a safe, comfortable and homely environment that provides stimulation and encourages independence where appropriate. Residents, where appropriate, and their families are involved in the decisions regarding their care. They very much recognise the importance of personal, individual and resident-focused care and at The Lodge, they have an excellent working relationship with the local GP practices and have good communication between all members of the care teams, be they district nurse, carers, relatives or doctors.
The Lodge is well equipped, comfortable and maintained to a high standard. There are beautiful landscaped gardens surrounding the home for residents and visitors to enjoy. The Lodge has bright spacious lounges. All bedrooms have their own private facilities and all have underfloor heating and are single occupancy. The large landscaped gardens have patio areas with ample seating for residents and visitors to sit and relax in summer. There are inviting communal dining rooms where the Chef serves a variety of nutritious home-cooked food that residents enjoy. The food is well cooked and tasty and the menu is very good and varied. The Chef will provide an alternative on a resident’s request.
The dedicated activities coordinator provides stimulating and enjoyable activities tailored to the individual needs of residents, promoting well being and enabling them to enjoy life to the full.
