Overview
Fair Havens is a small residential care community, with a maximum capacity of just 23 residents. Situated in the thriving residential area of Bassett, Southampton, Fair Havens was built in the second half of the 20th century. The home has been extended over the years to provide the extensive facilities it currently offers, including four lounges which provide a variety of spaces to socialise and relax. The garden is a particularly outstanding feature of the home, with its own summer house, sensory plant beds and beautiful rose bushes planted in memory of previous residents. Southampton Common is a five minute walk away from the home.
Fair Havens was established by an interdenominational group of local Christians who wished to provide care for the elderly without expectation of faith or creed. The name they chose for the home is a reference to Acts 27:8 in the Bible: “We moved along the coast … and came to a place called Fair Havens”. We’re proud to continue serving the community today as part of Keychange, a Christian charity.
