Local Area
The local area has an abundance of places to visit, such as Woolston Millenium Park, which showcases the Maritime and Aviation History of the UK, and Victoria Country Park, which boasts grassy woodlands and a shingle beach for when you need some fresh air. We also have dedicated outdoor areas such as a small veranda and a garden where residents grow fruit bushes and flowers through the gardening club.
Food at The Hawthorns Care Home
Our kitchen facilities are second to none, as our chefs create a seasonal menu every four weeks, with fresh fruit and snacks served throughout the day. Hygiene is of the utmost importance in our kitchens, which is why all our staff are trained to the highest standards.
Information for Visitors
Visitors are welcome throughout the day, but we recommend avoiding meal times as this can disrupt the routine of other residents. Visitors can take part in activities we organise, such as weekly coffee mornings and a social quiz night every month. We also take the time to facilitate trips out for our residents, including tenpin bowling, visits to garden centers, the Titanic museum, the D-Day Museum and Victoria Country Park, all of which have been thoroughly enjoyed by our residents.
If you’re looking for a care home to provide individual, holistic care to every person, where compassion and dignity are at the forefront of everything they do, our Hawthorn Care Home is exactly what you’ve been searching for.
