Cedars Care Home provides first-class care in historic Southend-on-Sea, Essex.

In May 2019 CQC rated it as 'good' overall and 'outstanding' in the 'responsive' category, reflecting a flexible approach to residents’ individual choice and continuity of care.

This modern, purpose-built home offers exceptional long-term and respite care for the elderly, and those living with dementia-related conditions. Cedars prides itself on ensuring the best possible quality of life for residents, providing professional care delivered with empathy, compassion and a focus on dignity.

There is accommodation for 48 residents over three floors in bright, spacious, comfortable and well-furnished rooms, each with a pleasant aspect and en-suite or wet room facilities. The home has a lovely light and airy feel, with homely communal areas, lounges and dining rooms on each floor, and a wheelchair-accessible garden.

In this well-designed and welcoming home, residents can maintain their independence while enjoying the peace of mind that comes with knowing that their personal care needs are being met by an experienced and dedicated team.

The home also encourages residents to personalise their rooms with favourite pictures and photographs, ornaments and small items of furniture.

There is lift access to all floors, and all areas are wheelchair accessible. Free wifi is available throughout the home and all rooms are equipped with TV and telephone points, a nurse call system and an adjustable automatic bed to ensure comfort.

Everyone is involved in the resident's clinical care, and the nursing and care staff are on hand 24/7, supported by a domestic team. The communal areas are designed to provide relaxed spaces to socialise or participate in daily activities.

Residents can also take advantage of a dedicated and well-equipped hairdressing salon
