Overview

The Moreton Centre Specialist Nursing Care Home is a bright, welcoming specialist nursing care home that provides personalised, compassionate, and professional care in a peaceful seaside residential area of St Leonards-on-Sea in East Sussex, for people with mental health difficulties.

Types of nursing care offered here include:

Dementia care for people with advanced or young onset dementia
Complex care needs with behaviours that challenge
Continuing care for complex mental and physical health needs
Palliative care
Respite care

Our airy, modern purpose-built care home is a safe, comfortable environment for our residents. It includes quiet rooms and sensory facilities to allow residents to relax and benefit from tailored therapies. Regular outings to local areas of interest allow enjoyment of the seafront, local shops and amenities. We provide specialist care around the clock to ensure that the needs of our service users are met whatever the time of day. We encourage empowering rather than custodial relationships and pride ourselves on our ‘home away from home’ ethos where residents are invited to furnish their own bedrooms for their complete comfort. Each resident has a care plan that sets out how staff will meet their needs. Care plans are reviewed regularly and updated when requirements change. Our Head Chef takes pride in providing a new menu each week taking on board suggestions from residents. Only fresh local produce is used, and meat is delivered three or four times a week by a local butcher.
