Entertainment and events
Your loved one can enjoy our three beautifully landscaped gardens, relax in the sunshine on our patio areas or in the summer house. They can spend quiet time in the sensory garden or reminiscence room, or visit the hair salon for a spot of pampering.

We have a schedule of events and optional activities, helping residents to explore their interests and discover new ones. There’s music therapy, armchair exercise sessions, gardening, baking, flower arranging, arts and crafts, bingo, quizzes and church services with our dedicated chaplain. We have local entertainers and our themed events are always really popular. We also welcome small pets who bring a homely feel to the place and take regular trips out.

Award-winning music therapy
Claybourne care home in Stoke-on-Trent is committed to providing alternative therapies such as music therapy to help alleviate isolation and the symptoms for those living with dementia. Our trained and award-winning therapist is funded by charitable donations. They interact directly with residents through live music therapy sessions. This includes singing, playing simple percussion instruments or responding to musical cues in a one-to-one or group setting. Take a look at our video to find out more about this life-changing therapy.

Chaplaincy and pastoral support
Claybourne is proud to be supported by a dedicated Chaplain who offers pastoral support to all, whatever their beliefs. Our chaplain provides a listening presence, companionship and one-to-one pastoral support for all residents, their friends and relatives, and staff members - irrespective of their beliefs - and organise worship for those who wish to participate. Where appropriate, residents are encouraged to maintain links with local faith communities.
