Overview
The Limes provides long-term residential care for older people and people living with dementia.
Designed as two separate households, both households provide a home for 15 people, with the top floor accessible by a lift.
The home has a conservatory in reception which opens up into the garden which features a summerhouse, astro-turf games area and flower beds which are maintained by staff and residents. The garden attracts local wildlife such as squirrels and muntjac deer.
Each household has a living area with a lounge, dining area and kitchenette where people can make their own snacks and drinks, although staff are always happy to help with preparing hot refreshments. As part of our activity provision WCS Care employs dedicated Community Musicians who deliver one-to-one or group music-based activities. Listening to music has the power to unlock memories, trigger emotions and connect people. Regular music can keep the ‘emotional memory’ topped up. Activities like music and crafts usually take place on the households.
Our Memory Maker minibus provides regular, local trips for residents, including those who need to use a wheelchair. We also welcome relatives on our trips so families can make new memories together.
