Overview
The Old Rectory is conveniently tucked away in the centre of the peaceful town of Stalbridge right next to the old market cross which is said to be one of the finest in the country. Stalbridge itself is a small picturesque town within the lush green pastures of the Blackmore Vale and because it is small it has a wonderful community feel to it but with the advantage of many local amenities including its own independent supermarket with a cafe, dental surgery, post office, shops and more.
Your home from home...
Our emphasis is on ensuring that you have control over your environment in a way that allows you to feel at home, whether it is re-arranging the furniture the way that you want it or bringing in your own furniture, pictures and possessions. Our rooms are light, airy, unique, individual and furnished to a high standard.
Our staff are always on hand to help you with what you want to achieve and furthermore, all rooms have the added reassurance and security of a 24 hour call bell.
The upstairs rooms are served by a lift and many have glorious views across the gardens and surrounding area.
The Old Rectory has 25 luxury rooms, all with ensuite wet rooms.
We want residents to feel comfortable and at home so if there is anything we can do to the room to help with this then residents only have to ask and we will oblige where possible. Well behaved pets are also welcome (conditions apply).
Delicious home cooked food to suit your tastes and needs...
Our dedicated catering team prepare meals on site, delivered at a high standard using fresh, seasonal and where possible, locally sourced ingredients.
Start your day with a choice of Continental or English breakfast, indulge in your choice from the lunch and dinner menus that can be served with refreshing soft drink or a glass of wine. Residents can choose where they would like to enjoy their meals, they may choose to eat in their rooms or enjoy a meal with the social company of others in one of the dining areas.
During the day, mid-morning coffees and mid-afternoon teas are served with a selection of freshly baked cakes and pastries. Fresh fruit, drinks and snacks are also readily available throughout the day.
The varied daily menu is tailored to suit individual dietary requirements. Visual choice menus are discussed individually with residents to assist with their food choice. Food intolerances and textured diets are also catered for.
On occasion residents have even enjoyed being involved in growing their own vegetables for meal times or snacks.
