Overview

Hylton Grange is a nursing home in the area of Sunderland, which can accommodate 30 residents. Care can be provided for those with complex mental health needs, neurodisabilities, complex nursing needs and acquired brain injuries . It is also suitable for younger people with such disabilities and health concerns.
Hylton Grange is a new service which has been purpose built providing outstanding facilities in a bright and pleasant environment. We have a secure paved garden with raised beds allowing safe access for mobile clients and those who use mobility aids. The heart of the service is our hub which has facilities for service users to cook, make themselves drinks and snacks where safe and appropriate with the help and support of our staff team.
All of our bedrooms are larger than average size with modern furniture and wet rooms. We actively encourage new service users to bring in their own furniture if they wish and to decorate their rooms to their own choice and taste. Each unit has a lounge with a television and a quite lounge. The dining rooms are modern and well designed.
We offer nursing cover 24 hours a day and have a highly trained staff team who have experience supporting service users with complex needs and behaviours that challenge. They provide a supportive and caring approach with a fun filled inclusive environment. We encourage our service users to integrate with the community and make use of local groups in order to develop life skills and move towards work placements where appropriate.
We have an in house catering manager who provide fresh home cooked meals and menus that reflect the choices of the people we support. Homemade cakes and biscuits and regular parties and events.
The service provides physiotherapy and OT support along with a team of behavioural support specialists and a consultant psychiatrist.
