Lansdowne Hill Care Home is a residential care home set in the beautiful Wiltshire village of Wroughton, four miles south of Swindon.
We provide outstanding residential, dementia, respite and convalescent care. We are situated in Wroughton village on the suburbs of Swindon. Local amenities such as doctors, dentist, various shops, a library, pubs and hotels are all on our doorstep.
Our comfortable, spacious lounges overlook our beautiful gardens, and a secluded courtyard area – all of which are accessible. A special feature of our garden is our traditional dovecote. It houses several beautiful doves, which our residents are very fond of. As well as caring for you we care about your families too.
Our door is always open for a chat, and our residents’ and families’ forum gives you a way to support each other. Plus, your family members are welcome in at any time, for a cuppa, or to join us for a meal.
Social activities
We place great emphasis on social activities and maintaining the type of life you have had at home, whether that is a quiet and relaxed lifestyle or an active lifestyle. Enjoy an evening of entertainment with fabulous musicians followed by some drinks and snacks at our very own licensed bar. We have weekly trips out to the coast, garden centres, pub lunches, museums and local beauty spots. We sometimes have mobile clothing shops come to our home which we love as it makes shopping much more relaxed. It allows you to take as much time as you need; you might even pick up some hidden gems.
Dining
At Lansdowne Care Home you will be served freshly prepared home cooked meals by our team of expert chefs. They ensure all our meals are healthy, nutritionally balanced and, most importantly, locally sourced wherever possible. Meals are served in our superb dining room, but you also have the option for food to be served in your room for a more private dining experience.
Nutrition is an important part of the care we provide. That’s why our catering team take time to get to know your likes and dislikes before putting together a vibrant and varied menu for you to choose from.
Bedrooms
There are 46 single bedrooms in Lansdowne Hill, across the ground floor and the first floor. All our rooms have ensuites or washbasins in the room and the rooms without ensuites have accessible bathrooms nearby.
The bedrooms are a blank canvas for you to personalise with your own photos, pictures and furniture to help you feel at home. It also helps our care team understand what’s important to you, help in building a warm relationship.
