Overview

Elmsmead is one of our specialist autism services located in Taunton, Somerset. We provide support for individuals with autism, learning disabilities, challenging behaviour, epilepsy, and mental health needs.

Elmsmead is a home in the area of Taunton, which can accommodate 11 people we support. Our home is a large Victorian house. All the bedrooms have en-suite facilities and can be adapted and personalised in line with individual needs and tastes. The home hosts spacious shared areas including two lounges, two dining areas and a kitchen, which are available for everyone to use with any appropriate supervision and support. We benefit from our own heated indoor swimming pool and have access to the facilities at other nearby Voyage Care services, including sensory rooms and an art room. The home is set in mature gardens with a vegetable patch and lawn.

Located on the outskirts of the county town of Taunton, we are just a ten-minute walk from the town centre, with access to a variety of shops and amenities. The people we support enjoy trips into town to take advantage of cafes, restaurants and exciting activities like bowling! There is also a bus stop nearby to travel to other nearby towns.
