Overview
Croft House offers support for five individuals with autism and challenging behaviour.
Our home has been designed to respond to and support the needs of people who have challenge behaviour, whilst providing an environment that is warm and homely. Each of our six bedrooms, two on the ground floor and four on the first floor, have en-suite bathrooms with either a bath or a shower. We encourage people to bring their own belongings and decorate their rooms to their own style and tastes.
We have a large lounge, leading into a conservatory which is currently used as the dining space, overlooking our secure rear garden. We have a separate activity space at the rear of the property, where the people we support can pursue a range of interests and activities. We have a large, domestic scale kitchen where each person is supported to prepare meals and snacks, as well as a smaller, quiet lounge overlooking the front garden. There is a small equipped sensory room on the ground floor, supporting individuals with range of sensory needs and preferences.
Croft House is located in the village of Thurcaston, on the edge of Charnwood Forest. Thurcaston is a popular residential area, surrounded by beautiful countryside, yet within easy reach of shopping, leisure and educational facilities in Leicester and Loughborough. Our home can be reached using public transport, including regular local buses. Croft House is close to the villages of Thurcaston, Rothley and Anstey, which offer a variety of local amenities including local shops, a post office and supermarkets, as well as health services.
