Overview
Honey Lane in Waltham Abbey, provides award-winning residential dementia care with love and compassion.
With a focus on living well with dementia, residents are supported to spend their days engaged in activities that are purposeful and meaningful to them. Lifestyle choices include music and movement classes, reminiscence activities, animal therapy, and Namaste Care multi-sensory relaxation. As well as regular excursions to local places of interest.
Underpinned by strong community links and innovative partnerships, Honey Lane hosts a dementia support group and delivers dementia training for families. It also runs an intergenerational project ‘Little Honey Bees’ and a ‘Make a Wish’ initiative, that grants residents’ wishes, big or small.
Honey Lane is a vibrant and homely environment with a skilled and long-standing dementia care team. With decades of collective experience, whether assisting with daily activities, personal care, or supporting families, everyone works as a team to enhance the lives of their residents.
Honey Lane is home to 38 residents (and Dottie, the home’s affectionate therapy cat) and is designed on one floor, enabling residents to move easily around the home. There is direct access to a central garden that offers a tranquil space to relax and a kitchen garden where residents can engage in gardening activities.
