Overview
Paternoster House is a beautiful care home in Waltham Abbey. We provide a range of accommodation and services for older people in need of support, from respite care to 24-hour nursing care and residential care.
Residential Care
We have a happy, friendly team of highly qualified and dedicated staff who focus on the individual needs of each resident and will develop a tailored care plan for each person. Our teams strive to provide everything a resident may need, from our in-house kitchen and dining facilities to activities and excursions to local sites and further afield.
Dementia Care
We also provide specialist support for individuals living with dementia in our bespoke Memory Lane Community, where care is focused on independence, dignity and choice, with a person centred approach. We have also invested in a 'Magic Table' for our home, an interactive light projector designed to support people living with dementia through mentally and physically stimulating games.
Our accommodation is purpose-built, with extensive grounds framed by woods and open fields in a quiet area of Waltham Abbey. The home boasts a number of courtyard gardens and sheltered areas. Our grounds are regularly visited by the local wildlife, ranging from birds and squirrels to deer.
The local area offers much of interest, from the Abbey and King Harold's final resting place to the scenic Epping Forest and the pleasures of both the canal and River Lea. We boast a large number of restaurants nearby, with food ranging from 'Pie and Mash' to Cordon Bleu.
We are confident we have much to offer and can help meet your needs. We are always happy to meet with you and offer a guided tour of our facilities and grounds. You are welcome to drop in for a cup of coffee and meet the team.
