Overview

Talbot Court is an experienced nursing care home in West Bromwich, offering quality care for up to ten individuals with complex needs, including learning and physical disabilities, dysphasia, dementia, epilepsy, and Down’s syndrome. We also provide support for those with terminal illnesses and adults requiring palliative care.

Our team delivers person-centred care plans tailored to each individual’s hobbies and interests, ensuring the best possible care. We have dedicated nurses on-site 24/7, trained to manage various clinical needs such as PEG feeding, catheter care, oxygen administration, nebulisers, diabetes, and subcutaneous injections. Mealtimes are personalised with modified diets to meet individual health requirements, while ensuring a balanced, nutritious diet.

Our support team undergoes a thorough four-week induction, including training in health and safety, epilepsy, dementia, and manual handling, among other areas. After completing the induction, they familiarise themselves with the care plans before shadowing experienced colleagues to ensure high-quality, personalised care. As a team, we strive to promote choice, independence, and the best possible quality of life for the people we support.

The care home is a spacious bungalow with ten bedrooms and various communal areas, including a large lounge, dining area, and kitchen. The home is equipped with hoists to assist with personal care and features a private garden with a patio area and garden furniture, ideal for enjoying fresh air. The property is fully accessible to meet the needs of those with mobility issues.
