Overview
The Aelred Wing at St Hilda's Priory is a residential care home in the Castle Road area of Whitby, which can accommodate just over 10 residents - it has a 'Good' rating from the CQC. The Aelred Wing at St Hilda's Priory also offers the following short stay services; respite care and rehabilitation.
Our care wing is part of St Hilda's Priory an Anglican Religious Community situated on the outskirts of Whitby. Our community of Sisters was founded in 1915 and we have had a community in Whitby for over 100 years.
We are happy to accept residents to join us for short stay respite in our care wing, The Aelred Wing which is situated on the ground floor of our Priory. We have 12 individual rooms with their own wet rooms, 4 of which we have dedicated to respite admissions from outside of our own community.
You will find our care home a quiet and restful place to stay with a Christian focus to care provision. We offer all our residents the opportunity to join the community for prayer and eucharist services in our own chapel with our own chaplain on site who can offer spiritual support to residents.
We do not offer activities and entertainment as our priority is the religious life. What we do offer is peace and quiet in a calming and relaxing environment with direct access to our beautiful gardens and grounds. We advocate care with a Christian focus, if this is something you are looking for, please get in touch.
