We believe all vulnerable people should receive safe, appropriate, high-quality care with the emphasis on health, education, community and a first-class living environment. That’s why we want to lead the way in the provision of this kind of care, ensuring that the principles of rights, choice and inclusion are enshrined in everything we do, and the benchmark begins and ends with us.
Cascade supports people living with autism, mental health conditions and learning difficulties along the road to greater independence. Our ethos is built on evidence-based practices and approaches that have been proven to have a positive impact on the lives of young people and adults with autism, mental health conditions and learning disabilities. Our ethos supports their progression to more independent lives.

Our ethos is built on three core areas; Health & Well-being, Community & Social Inclusion and Education.
These areas underpin the delivery of care that our residents receive each and every day. From our support staff working directly with our residents and home management teams to our group management teams, each action and decision is influenced by evidence from one or more of these areas.

Everything we do, every intervention, every piece of work is done together. We make things happen. But throughout it all, we are ‘with’, and never ‘for’.
Each person that we care for is different in their own way, but all with the same potential to lead better lives.

We give opportunities to people to be the best they can be. A chance to live a life they choose and a place in society that they want. We ask them how they want to live and what they want to do. We encourage them to take positive risks. Then we provide guidance, adaptive skills and care. Constant, continuous, collective care.

The rest comes from them.

Outstanding care delivery doesn’t come with a ‘one size fits all’ template. Our foundations may lie in compliance, processes and regulations but ultimately, we work with humans and we are all individually unique. For this reason, each person who moves into a Cascade home has a care package designed just for them with the view to improve their adaptive skills and increase their quality of life.

Most people arrive here with a need to develop their daily living skills.
That’s why, as part of our transition process, we assess their adaptive skills which goes on to form part of their individualised support plans.
These are the everyday skills needed to function, interact with others, and effectively take care of oneself. Such adaptive skills are essential to progression and for some into independent living. Everyone is encouraged and motivated to improve.
