Overview

Belvidere Court Nursing Home is a nursing home in the Bilston area of Wolverhampton, which can accommodate 55 residents - it has a 'Good' rating from the CQC.
Belvidere Court Ltd is owned by Dr and Mrs Ahmed. Dr Shahzada Ahmed [BSc (hons) DLO FRCS (ORL-HNS) PhD] qualified from Birmingham Medical School in 1997 and passed his surgical exams in 2001. He is currently working as an NHS Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. Dr Ahmed has been involved in the care industry since 2004 and is heavily involved in the day to day running of the home. Being an NHS Hospital Surgeon he is able to provide an invaluable alternative insight and has an open door policy for residents, next of kin and staff. He has a constant goal of maintaining the highest standards and in providing ever improving care in his Homes.
The Home is Managed by Ms Iram Painter who has QCF Level 5 Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care. Her experience in care spans over 15 years. She has strived to work with all directorates to build a passionate and strong team who share the vision of delivering a high standard of person centred quality care to all of the residents.
We provide Nursing, Dementia, End of Life Care, Challenging Behaviour and Mental Health Support 24 hours a day with qualified Nursing and Care staff.
Our residents have a wide and varying range of care needs. Some of our residents have physical care needs due to their medical conditions and difficulties with mobility and others need our emotional support and daily input to ensure they are safe and stimulated. It’s our positive attitude and core values that make us at Belvidere Court Care Home such a success at what we do. We’re totally committed to maintaining the highest standards and work together as a single team – while celebrating the differences that make people special as individuals.
Our Nursing Care is designed for elderly people who find it increasingly difficult to manage without additional help and support. The main aim of our professional team of care staff at Belvidere Court is to ensure that each one of our residents enjoys a fulfilling lifestyle tailored to their specific individual needs.
We ensure that all our Nursing and Care staff are provided with on-going opportunities for learning and further development. We provide friendly, thoughtful care at all times with respect for each individual; our main concern is for the happiness and well-being of all our residents, focusing on their strengths and abilities rather than on their possible weaknesses or disabilities. Care for each resident is tailored to their personal life history whilst at the same time seeking the involvement of their own family.
Many residents live at Belvidere Court for many years and as their individual care needs increase and they become more dependent, we increase our care and support.
Belvidere Court provides a varied activities program ensuring all our residents interests are catered for regardless of their abilities. Residents are encouraged to participate in various activities that will provide mental stimulation and increase their social interaction while, based on our resident meetings, reflect individual interests and requests. Regular activities on offer include reminiscing sessions, memory boxes, doll therapy, animal therapy, flower arranging, quizzes, puzzles, word games, board games, bingo, game consoles, audio books, personalised music through MP3 players, karaoke and sing-along sessions. We have live entertainment from singers and musicians, with music to cater for a variety of tastes. There is also a theatre company who provide us with musical shows and a Christmas pantomime. Manicures, aromatherapy, hand massages and pamper sessions are popular with our residents, helping them to stay calm and happy and we have a hairdresser who regularly provides an additional cost competitive service at the home. Friends and families are encouraged to join in with activities both in the home or out in the community. Weekly planned activity boards are on display throughout the home and a quarterly newsletter is available in the reception area.
The best way to find out if Belvidere Court is suitable for your loved one is to visit and have a look around the home. Just give us a call on 01902 662166 and we will agree a mutual day and time and make sure a staff member is available to show you around and answer any questions you may have.
