Overview

Our Stunning Setting:
Previously the Moorland Garden Hotel, our nursing home is set in beautiful moorland surroundings where residents are able to fully benefit from connections
with nature. Our large garden space encourages deer, squirrels and birds; ponies and sheep roam freely on the adjacent moorland. The Dartmoor theme is continued throughout the
inside of our home, through artwork, photographs and lounge names such as Burrator.

State-Of-The-Art Facilities:
Each of our luxurious rooms and suites offers plush bedding, tasteful décor, a private wet room, in-room entertainment, tech-enabled care, a landline telephone,
WiFi and room service for meals. The beds are fully adjustable at the touch of a button and include a built-in system to notify staff should a resident become wet
and need changing.

Safety features include a sensor system to immediately notify staff of any falls and a state-of-the-art automist system that can identify and target a fire source in
a room rather than sprinkling the whole space. Our home also features specialist non-slip wooden flooring throughout, which enables us to keep it clean and fresh.

For personal care, there is a bathroom for those who would prefer to take a bath than shower in their wet room. The bath is fully accessible with a side opening
for walk-in access and a height-adjustable seat, ensuring that residents are able to bathe with dignity.

The Moorland Garden Nursing Home also has a dedicated salon, perfect for either a simple haircut or a bit of pampering – everybody deserves to feel special, after all!

There is no need to ever be bored here – we have a dedicated programme of activities, which includes live music; a games table; books; a large communal lounge;
a smaller, quiet lounge; and plenty of outside space. And if food is your passion, we have wonderful chefs and a fabulous dining area. For those who love to enjoy a good movie, there is a cinema room on the home’s upper floor – the perfect opportunity to relax with others and enjoy a film on the big screen.

Continuing Life’s Journey:
If you’ve always been together, why be apart now? We are delighted to be able to welcome couples to the Moorland Garden Nursing Home very soon! Each couple will have their own private lounge and private bedroom; there’s no need to live separate lives when you can continue them together with us.

Got The Family Coming To Visit?
When you move into our nursing home, it becomes just that – your home. We want you to welcome your family and friends as often as you like; there is plenty of space!
Take a walk in the garden; sit out on the secure balcony; check out a film in the cinema; make use of the main lounge or our quiet, lounge; or simply invite your guests
back to your own private space.
