Overview

Brendoncare Alton is a warm, welcoming care home situated in a busy Hampshire market town. It offers nursing, dementia, respite and end of life care.

Residents receive personalised care services tailored to their individual needs, delivered by experienced nurses and carers who are available 24 hours a day.

Nursing care offers support to those requiring regular nursing due to complex needs such as physical illnesses or medical conditions, while dedicated dementia care is provided in a safe and secure environment. Respite care gives short-term support to those recovering from an illness, hospital stay, or when carers take a break. This can be booked up to 3 months in advance. End of life care supports those in the last months or years of their lives, enabling them to continue living with dignity.

Brendoncare Alton offers plenty of comfortable spaces where residents and their guests can meet and relax. The atrium is one of our home’s key features, which, together with the sunny cafe, lounge and dining areas, offers an airy communal meeting place. Outside, large landscaped gardens are full of sunny and shady spots for outdoor dining and soaking up the sun. A hairdressing salon, shop and library with large print and audio books are also available to residents. Food and drink are an important part of the residents’ day. Our catering team works closely with residents and staff to accommodate specific likes and dislikes, dietary and allergy requirements or cultural/spiritual needs. Our varied menus always include healthy, wholesome, appetising food with snacks and drinks available anytime. We have the top food hygiene rating of 5 from the Food Standards Agency.

Our wellbeing coordinators focus solely on supporting the quality of life for each resident. They organise a varied range of activities from fitness and craft sessions to quizzes, board games and manicures. They also arrange activities on special occasions including birthdays, anniversaries, Mothers’ Day, Easter and Christmas.

Next to Brendoncare Alton is Alton Mary Rose Mews, offering extra care housing enabling older people to continue leading active, independent lives in their own homes with access to personal care and support 24 hours a day.
