Overview
The Croft is an established care home within Amersham providing residency for elderly persons including those with Dementia diagnosis and End of Life care. A 60 bed purpose built care home providing 24/7 care allowing disabled access to all areas within the home for those who require the use of a wheelchair, each individual bedroom have private en-suite facilities that allows for further privacy.
The Croft provides a friendly, supportive and welcoming home from home environment with regular and varied activities. Outings and events can be organised at individual request.
The Croft is split between 4 suites each one named after one of the Royal Estates, Balmoral, Buckingham, Sandringham and Windsor separated over 2 floors offering separate dining areas each with a kitchenette and communal lounge to encourage social engagement.
Residents have a choice of dining with others in one of our spacious communal dining areas or privately in their bedrooms. Our on-site catering team serve a blend of delicious and nutritious home cooked meals daily including freshly baked cakes. Our in house chef will also prepare meals to meet specific dietary requirements to support individuals with allergies and or food intolerances or even those requiring modified meals needing specific textures/consistencies as advised by supporting professionals. All produce is freshly sourced and provided from local suppliers including butchers and dairy where possible.
The gardens at The Croft are on one level and fully wheelchair accessible for residents and visitors alike, with seating and shade to enjoy at everyone's leisure no matter the time of year, which are completely secure from the surrounding area.
Activities provided offer games and quizzes not least to mention external entertainers who fill the home with musical splendour full of glitz and glamour bringing amusement and smiles to our residents and their families. For those wishing to practice their religion we have a monthly church service within the care home provided by our local vicar, we have also secured monthly visits from the catholic church who provide wider support for individuals of different religious beliefs.
On site; residents have access to a hairdressers lounge and can enjoy the luxury of being pampered each week by our regular hairdresser, in addition we provide a visiting Podiatrist, Dentist, Audiologist, Optician and weekly GP visits to maintain the health and well being of our residents in addition to this we have a strong professional relationship with the District Nursing team.
We are able to provide care and support for individuals with all types of Dementia and Elderly person's simply looking for extra support as they become more frail and exploring companionship.
Our staff are trained to levels 2 and 3 in Regulated Quality Framework (QCF) standards in Dementia Care & Awareness.
