Adjacent to The Chestnuts is Willowmead Court, an extra care scheme with 12 self-contained flats in a charming two-storey building. Most flats are on the ground floor for easy access, and with a bus stop just across the road, residents can enjoy both independence and convenient connections to the town centre.
At the heart of our home is a cosy, quiet lounge designed for reflection, conversation and gentle activities. This special space is filled with carefully chosen treasures to inspire reminiscence and connection. Visitors will find vintage books, records, knitting patterns, delicate tea sets, old magazines and Royal Family memorabilia, each with its own story to tell. It is a place where memories are shared and friendships are strengthened.
At The Chestnuts, visits from animals are always a highlight. From the gentle company of rabbits and guinea pigs to the curious charm of chinchillas, the friendly greetings of dogs and the exotic wonder of bearded dragons, these special guests bring joy, conversation and smiles to everyone.
