About Us
Welcome to Creative Support – The Houghtons, a voluntary not-for-profit care home proudly serving the Bedford community. With a ‘Good’ rating from the Care Quality Commission, our dedicated team is committed to delivering compassionate, person-centred care in a safe and homely environment.
At The Houghtons, we offer tailored support for adults with a range of needs, including autism, diabetes, frailty, hearing and sight impairments, incontinence, speech impairments, and provide dignified end of life care. Our experienced staff value the uniqueness of each resident, ensuring that care plans are thoughtfully developed in partnership with individuals and their families.
Residents enjoy comfortable living spaces including our welcoming lounge and dining room, as well as peaceful landscaped gardens. All rooms offer wheelchair access and essential facilities such as wet rooms, assisted or communal bathrooms, tracking and hoisting equipment, TV points, and, in some rooms, convenient kitchenettes. We strive to create a home-from-home, where everyone feels valued, empowered, and safe.
Our home is conveniently located near local amenities such as shops, a bank, a park, doctor’s surgery, dentist, and public transport links, enabling residents to stay involved in the community and access essential services with ease.
We welcome both Local Authority and NHS Continuing Healthcare funding.
