Northwood Nursing & Residential Care

Northwood Complex Care is a nursing home in the area of Blackburn, which can accommodate 27 residents. Care can be provided for those with, complex nursing needs, dementia and learning disabilities. It is also suitable for young people with physical disabilities. Northwood Complex Care also offers the following short stay services; respite care, respite care and intermediate care.

Northwood Complex care has beautiful gardens to spend time in and various lounge's or the elegant dining hall This home places a focus on the resident wellbeing and offers indoor activities, outings and daily newspapers. There is a lift, ground floor rooms and wheelchair access in addition to wifi throughout the home, a hairdressing room is also available too and a sensory relaxation area too.

Northwood Complex Care offers some en-suite rooms and residents can feel even more at home here if they want to use their own furniture. We like to encourage our residents to feel at home with their own belongings.

The main hospital is close by however as we are complex care, all nursing needs and end of life care is managed here at Northwood. It has good travel links with a bus station and a train station close to the home. A supermarket, bank and cinema can also be found in the area.

We have undergone an intense regime over 6 months and are excited to share with you that we have been graded with maximum grades in all areas and successfully achieved Headway Approved Provider (AP) Accreditation.
