Overview
Swan House Care Home offers a safe and homely environment at the heart of a friendly village community. We provide high-quality, person-centred care and support, helping residents to live comfortably, maintain their independence and enjoy an active, fulfilling lifestyle.
Situated in a quiet residential area just outside Winslow town centre, our home offers the perfect balance of tranquillity and convenience. Residents are within easy reach of local shops, the GP practice, the library and a bus route straight to Winslow High Street.
Inside, Swan House combines cosy bedrooms with bright, spacious communal areas and intimate lounges, creating a welcoming, homely atmosphere. Outside, our beautifully landscaped garden with its own seating area provides a peaceful retreat for relaxation, socialising or enjoying the fresh air. We provide 24-hour tailored care and encourage residents to personalise their rooms, helping our team understand what matters most to each individual.
Adjacent to Swan House is Swan Court, an extra care scheme with 12 self-contained flats designed for independent living with support available when needed. With most flats on the ground floor, residents enjoy easy access and a bright, spacious lounge that opens onto a charming, well-kept garden, a perfect spot to relax and connect with neighbours.
At Swan House, animal visits are always a special treat. From gentle dogs and playful rabbits to curious guinea pigs, chinchillas and even bearded dragons, these furry and scaly friends bring joy, companionship and plenty of smiles to our residents.
One of our smaller lounges at Swan House has been designed as a peaceful retreat for reflection and gentle conversation. Here residents can explore a collection of nostalgic treasures such as well-loved books and vinyl records, knitting patterns, delicate tea sets, vintage magazines and Royal Family memorabilia. Each item is chosen to inspire memories and encourage meaningful connections.
Our home is blessed with two peaceful gardens, each offering a quiet space to unwind and connect with nature. Whether you prefer to sit and watch the birds flit between the trees or get hands-on with planting vibrant hanging baskets and tending the bird feeders, our gardens invite you to enjoy the outdoors in your own way.
Dining
At Swan House Care Home, mealtimes are a special experience. Our team of skilled chefs create freshly prepared, home-cooked dishes designed to delight the senses. Wherever possible, ingredients are locally sourced to ensure every meal is fresh, nutritious and full of flavour.
Residents can enjoy their meals in our elegant dining rooms or our light and tranquil conservatory, where the atmosphere makes every meal feel special. For those who prefer privacy, meals can also be enjoyed in the comfort of their own room, offering a personal dining experience.
Bedrooms
Swan House is an intimate Residential Care Home, providing a warm and welcoming home for up to 32 residents. The home is able to support those with a higher level of specific dementia care needs, offering compassionate, tailored support in a comfortable setting.
Several of our bedrooms have en-suite facilities, including toilets, washbasins, and vanity units. For those without en-suite, accessible bathrooms are always close by for convenience.
Many of the bedrooms offer lovely views of the garden, providing a peaceful and relaxing view from the comfort of your room.
Gardens
Swan House Care Home features a beautiful, spacious landscaped garden that comes alive with summer activities. Colourful planters and raised flower beds add charm, while plenty of seating areas provide residents with comfortable spots to relax and enjoy the outdoors.
The garden is perfect for social activities, outdoor dining or simply soaking up the sun. Nature enthusiasts will love spending a sunny afternoon watching the birds nesting in our mature trees. Throughout the year, the garden offers a peaceful retreat and a chance to connect with nature in a safe, welcoming environment.
