About Us
Sister Led Care Ltd is a family-run domiciliary care company founded by two sisters who wanted to create a care service that feels genuinely personal.
Our journey into care is deeply personal to us. Our own family experiences have shaped the way we view care and reinforced our belief that people should never feel like just another name on a rota. When someone needs support, they and their family should feel confident that the people coming into their home genuinely care about their wellbeing.
Between us, we bring extensive experience within the care sector, alongside a strong understanding of the responsibility that comes with supporting people in their own homes. Sister Led Care was created because we wanted to take everything we had learned through our professional and personal experiences and build the type of care company that we would feel comfortable trusting with our own family.
That principle remains at the heart of everything we do:
We provide the standard of care that we would want for our own family.
Being independently owned and locally managed means we are able to maintain a personal connection with the people who choose Sister Led Care. We don't want to become a service where people feel they are dealing with a large, distant organisation. We want our clients and their families to know who we are, feel comfortable contacting us and know that they will be listened to.
For us, excellent care is about much more than meeting someone's practical needs. It is about understanding the person behind the care plan — their personality, their history, their routines, the things that make them laugh, the things they dislike and what makes them feel comfortable and secure in their own home.
We believe the smallest details can often make the biggest difference.
Continuity and relationships are therefore extremely important to us. Trust takes time to build, particularly when someone is allowing care workers into their home and potentially supporting them with very personal aspects of their life. Wherever possible, we aim to provide familiar faces so that genuine, trusting relationships can develop.
We also believe that families should feel included and reassured. Starting care can be an emotional experience for everyone involved, and relatives often need to know that their loved one is safe and being treated with kindness and respect. With the individual's consent, we encourage open communication with families and welcome their involvement.
Our team is equally important to us. We want Sister Led Care to be a company where care workers feel valued, supported and proud of the care they provide. We believe that when staff are well supported, appropriately trained and genuinely valued, this is reflected in the quality and consistency of care they give.
As directors, we remain actively involved in the day-to-day running of Sister Led Care. We know the people we support, we know our care team, and we take responsibility for maintaining the standards we expect throughout the service.
We are passionate about building Sister Led Care around kindness, dignity, respect, honesty, reliability and compassion. We listen to the people we support and continually look at how we can improve.
Although Sister Led Care is a growing company, we never want to lose the family values on which it was founded. Growth for us is not simply about supporting more people; it is about growing carefully while protecting the personal approach and quality of care that makes our service special.
Ultimately, we want people choosing Sister Led Care to feel that they have found a provider they can trust — one where they are known as an individual, their voice matters, and the people supporting them genuinely care.
Sister Led Care Ltd – founded by sisters, built on family values and committed to care we would be proud to give our own family.
