About Us

About Us
Based in Kent, Holly Lodge is a privately run residential home for people diagnosed with dementia who can no longer care for themselves in their own home.

Holly Lodge has been operating for over 18 years and is owned by Imperial Care UK Ltd. Holly Lodge is registered with the Care Quality Commission to care for 22 residents of any age in the commission's Dementia (DE) category.

Our staff are highly trained and qualified and understand the importance of personability, trust and respect for all of our residents, approaching their duties in a friendly, cheerful and professional manner.

As a relatively small residential home we are able to offer each of our resident’s extremely close, personal and individual care, and work hard to keep them physically and mentally active year round, taking time to get to know each of our guests well so that our staff can make their lives as comfortable as possible.

Although we are small we have retained all the social benefits to residents such as being around others of a similar age group and taking part in group activities , we like to say that at Holly Lodge you’re never alone We provide 24 hour care and assistance for our residents, with all bedrooms and communal areas fitted with a Nurse Call alarm system should any resident require assistance at the touch of a button.

Living in a residential care home can never be quite the same as living in your own home, but we work hard to maintain several aspects of home life to make our guests feel that they belong here. We provide an in house laundry service and all our meals are freshly home-cooked in our well equipped kitchen; we believe life at Holly Lodge is much like life with an extended family.

We work hard to maintain our residents’ independence and quality of life, offering facilities for guests to pursue their personal hobbies, just as they would at home, and offering a range of group activities to promote the social side of residential care.

Popular activities include skittles, quizzes and bingo among other games, and many of our residents rediscover a competitive side to themselves, and of course TV.

All facilities and catering are available for residents to use and we are extremely flexible when it comes to dietary requirements, helping to make any stay at Holly Lodge as comfortable as possible.

Accommodation
All rooms at Holly Lodge are designed with the comfort and safety of our residents in mind. With pressure mats beside every bed, we will be alerted to anyone getting out of bed and can assist as necessary. Holly Lodge is a 22-bedded house with a range of bedroom sizes and facilities to accommodate all of our residents.

The ground floor comprises of 13 bedrooms, all with private ensuite facilities. The first floor has 4 single bedrooms, with 1 ensuite bathroom, and a twin bedded room. The second floor comprises of 2 bedrooms, 1 single and 1 twin, with both of the rooms possessing an ensuite bathroom. All bedrooms are furnished with a bed, a chest of drawers, a bedside table, a chair and a wardrobe. Rooms can be decorated by residents and any personal furniture can be brought in to the home, provided it is checked first by our staff to make sure it meets our safety regulations.

Bathrooms
Several of our bedrooms have ensuite bathroom facilities, but for those that don’t, there are vanity units and washing facilities instead. There are communal bathing and washing rooms on the ground floor, with a hoist and hairdresser sink, and a wet room with a shower, toilet and hairdresser sink. Our experienced and friendly staff ensure the best care and service for residents and are happy to help with any requirements they may need.

Communal and Outdoor Area
At Holly Lodge we have a communal lounge area where residents can spend time with one another throughout the day. From there, we have a garden and patio area that is secluded and an excellent place for residents to spend some time either alone or with others. Safety and privacy is extremely important to us and anyone wanting to spend time in our communal areas must respect everyone else around them, including visitors to the home.
