Goldhill House is located just a short-walk from Chesterfield town centre, with its iconic crooked spire and famous outdoor market. There is excellent access to a range of leisure facilities, shops and educational centres such as Chesterfield College and the University of Derby. There are good transport links to Derby, Mansfield and
Sheffield as well as rural towns in the heart of the Peak District such as Bakewell and Buxton. Individuals living at Goldhill House can therefore easily access and be part of the local community.

Where appropriate, individuals can also be supported by our Clinical Consultant Psychologist who delivers Compassion Focused Therapies to address trauma.
Goldhill House is a supportive space, with all the comforts of home and facilities for relaxation and recreation. Goldhill House contains 15 bedrooms which are light and spacious and each have an ensuite bathroom. At the heart of the house is a spacious communal lounge and dining area; perfect for group activities, special events and day-to-day socialising. Leading out from the communal lounge is an enclosed garden featuring patio space and seating areas, a herb garden and green shrubbery borders. Near to the lounge is a communal kitchen, there is also an additional kitchen equipped for group activities and cooking skills training. There is a second lounge on the top floor of Goldhill House, offering a slightly quieter relaxation space. Individuals at Goldhill House can also entertain their visitors in the comfortable and private visitors lounge.
Following a referral to Goldhill House, an assessment will be arranged and undertaken by the Goldhill House management team. They will provide feedback on whether they feel Goldhill House will be able to meet the needs of the individual. A proposal of care will then be submitted and if the individual and their care team are happy to
proceed, admission and transition plans will be agreed. Individuals living in Goldhill House are empowered to develop or regain key life skills and coping mechanisms. The service focuses on community based activities, the use of public transport, education, work experience, job placements and the development of hobbies and interests.
Goldhill House is conveniently located opposite to one of Aspire’s Supported Living Services, Jubilee House. Where appropriate, individuals living at Goldhill House can be offered Jubilee House as a step-down option when they have achieved all that they set out to achieve at Goldhill House. This option provides an easy transition for individuals stepping down from residential care, and continuity in regard to the community they will have become a part of in Chesterfield.
