About Us

Linnet Mews is a residential care home in Chesterfield, offering rehabilitation support for up to ten individuals who have experienced brain injuries. Specialising in active rehabilitation, this purpose-built service enables people to regain lost skills and work towards greater independence.

Using a slow stream rehabilitation approach, the team at Linnet Mews considers individual needs, past experiences, and social circumstances to determine the appropriate support for successful reintegration into a community setting.

For those who may need ongoing or permanent care, nearby brain injury services such as Markham House and Glasshouse Hill offer possible transfer options to continue the rehabilitation journey. Together, the three services form a connected approach to brain injury rehabilitation in the North.

The home spans two floors and includes six en-suite bedrooms designed for individuals at the start of their rehabilitation. Four self-contained flats are also available, providing a step towards more independent living.

A dedicated therapy area on the first floor includes a fully equipped gym and a therapy consultation room, offering vital therapeutic services such as physiotherapy and psychotherapy in a homely environment.

Linnet Mews has been adapted for individuals with mobility needs and includes generous communal areas, a purpose-built lift to access the first floor, and an accessible bathroom for those requiring additional support with personal care.
