About Us
The Langston was built by the Earl of Dulcie as a hunting lodge with stabling for forty horses in the 1870s. It was built using stone from the private quarry of his father-in-law, Squire Langston. It later became a popular hotel.
In 1985 it was turned into a residential home. The property was chosen not only for its suitability in having wide corridors and no steps within the building, but also for its beautiful setting with lovely views over the Cotswolds in all directions.
The Langston Nursing Home was awarded the rating of 'Good' in every area that was inspected by the CQC and the overall rating awarded following the inspection was 'Good' (October 2022). In 2022, The Langston Nursing Home was awarded a national Gold Standards Framework (GSF) Quality Hallmark Award for its delivery of end-of-life care during the pandemic.
The rooms are spacious and warmly decorated to make the residents feel at home. High-quality care from well-trained staff is offered, giving residents the opportunity to make their own choices and live as independently as possible in a safe environment
