About Us

Castleford Home for Older People is one of 17 residential homes for older people in Lancashire operated by Lancashire County Care Services, who have provided services for older people since 1975.

We have a 'Good' rating from CQC.

The home is a purpose built, 2-storey, building situated in the town of Clitheroe and is close to local amenities. It is registered to accommodate up to 47 ladies or gentlemen.

We have 47 single bedrooms; 10 of which form our Intermediate Community Beds area. The home has undergone refurbishment to bring the bedroom accommodation up to the requirements of the National Care Standards. 23 residential places at Castleford are allocated to older people who have dementia. These areas of the home are self-contained and are staffed by care assistants who are trained in the delivery of this specialised care.
