About Us

Abbey Court is a high-quality nursing and residential home situated on the leafy outskirts of Derby City with good access to the A52/A6. The home is steeped in rich history and used to be a former malthouse and brewery between the late 19th to early 20th century. In 1985 the buildings were converted into a residential nursing home and is today recognized as a significant local heritage asset. We continue to support people to enjoy the lifestyle that they choose, with dignity, comfort and compassion within an amazing building.

Abbey court comprises of 41 bedrooms with many having been newly refurbished to a high standard to ensure comfort in your own space. The home has a beautifully decorated conservatory to enjoy a sit down and relax in peaceful surroundings looking out onto the Courtyard. There is also a lounge and dining room to socialise in.

Our experienced team of carers and nurses are there to be on hand, around the clock giving piece of mind to ensure familiar routines and individual attention. The continuation of daily hobbies is encouraged and we provide a packed program of activity, events and new pastimes for people to be involved with.

Our menus offer home-cooked and nutritionally balanced meals, which respects the preferences of our residents giving variety whilst still retaining the comfort and routine of resident favorites.

There is wi-fi throughout the home, so your loved ones can keep in touch via video and phone calls. We also have laptops for people to use if they wish to surf the internet or do some online shopping.

Abbey Court has a lot to offer, and family members and friends are always encouraged to come and visit.
