About Us

Professional nursing care in a safe, supportive and comfortable environment

Lavender Lodge Nursing Home provides high-quality, person-centred nursing care in a warm and welcoming setting where residents are treated with dignity, respect and compassion. Our home is located in Derby and serves individuals and families from the surrounding community who require professional nursing support within a comfortable, homely environment.

Our experienced team delivers 24-hour nursing and care support, allowing residents and their families to feel reassured that help is always available. Care is tailored to the individual, recognising that every resident has unique needs, preferences and life experiences.

Types of care we provide
We are able to support residents with a range of care needs, including:

• Nursing care
• Dementia care
• Residential care
• Respite and short-term stays
• Post-hospital recovery and rehabilitation support
• Long-term care for complex health needs

Our multidisciplinary team works closely with GPs, community nurses, therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure residents receive coordinated, consistent and high-quality care.

Person-centred care
We believe that good care begins with understanding the individual. Each resident has a personalised care plan developed in partnership with healthcare professionals, residents and their families. Care plans are regularly reviewed to ensure that support continues to reflect the resident’s needs and wellbeing.

Our team supports residents with nursing care, medication management, personal care, mobility assistance, nutritional support, emotional wellbeing and daily living activities while encouraging independence wherever possible.

Comfortable living environment
Residents benefit from comfortable private accommodation within a homely and supportive environment designed to promote safety, wellbeing and quality of life. Our aim is to create a place where residents feel secure, respected and part of a welcoming community.

Respite care

We also provide respite care for individuals who may require short-term support. This can help families and carers take a break while ensuring their loved one receives professional care in a safe and supportive environment.

Fees and funding
Fees are typically arranged through a combination of Local Authority funding and an assessment of the individual’s care needs.

Residents who require higher levels of assistance or specialist support may require additional funding to accommodate specialist equipment, enhanced staffing levels, clinical training or other support required to safely meet their needs.

Additional services can also be sourced on request depending on individual requirements.

Community involvement
We believe that maintaining strong links with the local community plays an important role in supporting wellbeing, social connection and quality of life for our residents.

Throughout the year we will be organising a variety of home events, celebrations and seasonal activities that encourage participation from residents, families and members of the local community. These may include community gatherings, seasonal celebrations, activity days, social events and opportunities for local groups to visit the home.

We warmly welcome members of the community who may wish to contribute to our activity programme or support resident engagement. This could include volunteering time, hosting small community sessions, sharing hobbies or skills, participating in music, arts, reading groups, gardening activities, intergenerational visits, or helping us develop new ideas that enrich the lives of our residents.

If you are part of the local community and would like to get involved in supporting activities or volunteering with our residents, we would be delighted to hear from you.
