Overview
Regency Care Home provides a safe and homely environment within a real village community, delivering high-quality care and support.
Situated in a peaceful residential area on the outskirts on Derby, we are positioned within easy reach of all local amenities such as; convenient stores, GP practice, a library and on a local bus route which takes you directly into Derby city centre.
Our building is divided into four wings, named Tudor, Windsor, Coronation and Balmoral which hold all 61 of our bedrooms for people living at Regency. Across the home we have comfortable, spacious lounges and dining rooms so you can enjoy the best of community life, whenever you choose. There’s plenty of space for group activities, or somewhere to find a quieter spot to relax.
Social activities
There’s something to suit everyone in our social activities programme, from entertainment, exercise and flower arranging to arts and crafts, coffee mornings, cooking and much more.
We host a variety of social events which include themed restaurant evenings, arts and crafts, quizzes, and regular entertainers.
We welcome all sorts of musical entertainers, including singers, ukulele-players and interactive musicians who love to get our residents involved. We have an extensive garden, with a beautifully maintained lawn that has vegetable patches and flower beds for our residents to use. It is also a great spot for relaxing with a patio area and outdoor seating.
Dining
At Regency Care Home you will be served freshly prepared home cooked meals by our team of expert chefs. They ensure all our meals are healthy, nutritionally balanced and, most importantly, locally sources wherever possible. Meals are served in our superb dining room, but you also have the option for food to be served in your room for a more private dining experience.
Nutrition is an important part of the care we provide. That’s why our catering team take time to get to know your likes and dislikes before putting together a vibrant and varied menu for you to choose from.
Bedrooms
We have 61 bedrooms for people living at Regency Care Home, with a range of room sizes, including some able to accommodate couples. We have ground floor rooms with direct access to the garden or our courtyard and the first-floor rooms that are fully accessible, by stairs or a lift.
The bedrooms are a blank canvas for you to personalise with your own photos, pictures and furniture to help you feel at home. It also helps our care team understand what’s important to you, help in building a warm relationship.
Gardens
We have a lovely garden with a large lawn and flowerbeds. It is a great spot for BBQs and garden parties in the summer. We believe it’s important to be able to access nature, both for mental and physical stimulation, and doing this is easy and safe in our secure grounds.
