Overview
Situated in the popular Hampshire town of Chandlers Ford, Brendoncare Knightwood’s innovative but homely development enables older people to live as independently as they wish in quality accommodation, that promotes independent living.
Offering residential, respite and end of life care, Brendoncare Knightwood Court offers 20 ensuite bedrooms, arranged as one household on the building's ground floor. There is a 24-hour nurse call system in each room with call points in both the bedroom and ensuite shower room.
All the bedrooms are decorated to a high standard with residents encouraged to bring their own personal items, bringing familiarity and comfort. All rooms have a patio allowing you direct access outdoors, and many residents decorate their own garden area. Assisted bathrooms and wheelchair accessible showers are available.
Residents receive personalised care, tailored to their individual needs, delivered by experienced carers who are available 24 hours a day. Other facilities available include a library, small shop, hair salon, plus communal lounge and dining areas for socialising and entertaining guests.
The wellbeing team ensure there is a range of activities available including visiting entertainers, exercise, arts and crafts, quizzes and games. Outside, there are furnished patio areas, idea for entertaining or soaking up the sun, and four acres of mature gardens and ground, located in a leafy part of the town.
Extra care housing is also available at Knightwood Mews, a development of bungalows and apartments, designed to enable older people to live independently in their own homes.
