Overview
Five Oaks is a purpose built residential care home for the elderly with 44 ensuite bedrooms (registration for 45 residents), situated 5 minutes from junction 24 off the M25 on the prestigious Cockfosters Road in Hadley Wood, Barnet. It was opened in February 1995.
Upon arriving at Five Oaks, you are struck by calmness and warmth, as you take in the rural views across the fields to the front of the building, before entering through the main door and into our welcoming reception area.
From the reception area and moving through the cosy Hall Lounge, the home opens up into the Main Lounge, which is spacious enough to hold group activities, yet welcoming enough that residents can gather and engage in conversation at their leisure. This space then leads onto a separate Television Lounge, which opens into the beautifully decorated Dining Room. As you move through our home, you’ll see the fantastic view that the building’s location was chosen for, across Hadley Wood to Barnet Church on the rear skyline.
On the lower ground floor there is the Garden Room which leads out to the comfortable patio terrace and large south west facing garden, a truly wonderful place to sit during the summer months with its breathtaking views.
There is ease of access throughout the building, which is served by two modern passenger lifts.
Five Oaks has accommodation for up to 44 residents, with double/shared rooms available on request. All rooms have en-suite facilities.
As part of your care plan, you'll receive support with daily living activities to help you lead a fulfilling life tailored to your abilities, whether at home or in the community. We provide a wide range of activities and games, excursions and events, and have plenty of quieter spaces where residents can relax, both indoors and outside.
Five Oaks does not operate set visiting times – we are open for visitors to come and see their loved ones at any time. If you would like to visit and look around before considering staying with us, we suggest calling ahead to arrange, just so that we can ensure there is a member of staff on hand to answer any questions.
